Kamal Elfarissi brings more than twenty years of entrepreneurial and organizational energy to Set Your Max. Before co-founding Set Your Max, Kamal worked in another startup he founded, Softium, a Competitive Intelligence Software company. He conducted four years of research that led to the development of the company's flagship product, Softium Intelligent Office. Prior to Softium, Kamal owned and operated Manchester Live Poultry for twelve years, a California licensed and federally monitored live poultry processing facility. In addition, He is an active practitioner of Quality Assurance (QA) doctrines. He became interested in Quality since the eighties while he was with Deep Water Iodides, a subsidiary of Toyota Tsusho Corp.
Kamal earned his Bachelor's degree in chemistry and Master's degree in Quality Assurance from the California State University, Dominguez Hills.
He enjoys playing soccer, running and reading. He lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and two daughters
Mario Diaz is a founding partner of Set Your Max. He graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in e-Business. Prior to co-founding Set Your Max, he founded Enfuse, a website design and development firm. What he likes most about his job, is helping others launch their dreams. It is the fourteen years as a software developer that enabled him to develop the tools necessary to help make Set Your Max a reality.
Mario resides in the Riverside area with his lovely wife Angelina and his beautiful baby girl, Sophia. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys watching movies.
Barry is a Partner with Hogan Lovells law firm. Prior to that, he was an equity partner with Reed Smith LLP. For 20 years, Barry has litigated and tried complex commercial and products liability cases in federal and state court, serving as national, regional, and local counsel for numerous Fortune 500 companies.
Barry earned his JD degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law, and his BA degree in political sciences from the University of California, San Diego. He is admitted to the California State Bar and is specially admitted in multiple state and federal courts across the United States.
Outside of work, Barry spends most of his time with his wife and two sons. Second only to time with his family is Barry's love of sports. He plays soccer, cycles, surfs and golfs. In years past, he played intercollegiate soccer and completed an Ironman Triathlon. Barry also enjoys movies, food and wine and travel.
